Backlighting

When the sun is low in the sky it makes a great backlight, creating a very nice corona of light around the edges of my subjects. To recreate that effect in broad daylight, as well as to separate the subjects from the background a bit, I place a remote flash directly behind them. Such was the case with this couple, taken yesterday at Whisper’n’Oaks (a truly amazing venue!).
