Ashleigh and Brian live on Lake Lanier, near Atlanta. These images were taken on their boat dock, in the middle of a beautiful spring day.

I shot a wedding in Atlanta this past weekend with Ashleigh and Brian. They’re the couple whose engagement photos I shot last year in Arizona, at another wedding (where Brian was the groom’s cousin). This image is of Ashleigh’s father seeing her for the first time in her wedding dress. She’s the baby of the family so giving her away was pretty special for her dad.

It’s rare for a bride to have time alone during the reception but the light was too good to pass up, in this instance, so I grabbed the bride and we ventured out to the lawn area of Dancing Deer Mountain.

This is the second in my two-part (so far!!) Go Ducks series. This image is from a wedding I shot at The Beacon House. The bride got ready at her parents’ home and they were huge Ducks fans, as is evidenced by the fact they have an entire room dedicated to the green and gold…

I had to dig through a few files to find this one, but I knew I had it. The bride and all her bridesmaids are avid Oregon fans and, since it’s NCAA tourney time, I thought this would be a great time to post this image. This image was taken at King Estate.

The bride wanted to incorporate the fence into her bridal party photos at this Whisper’n’Oaks wedding. I didn’t think she was going to try climbing to the top of it!

Jacob and his groomsmen all had their own turn to light up the dance floor. I think it’s great when the guys get up and dance!

I love it when a bride and her bridesmaids are all out on the dance floor. Such great energy. I decided to convert this image to black and white since the color balance was off the charts (tungsten lighting from thousands of Christmas-type lights, my own Canon flashes, and the multi-colored lights spilling forth from the DJ’s setup, plus the last of the day’s ambient light)

It’s not often that a wedding reception wraps up before dark but that was the case with this wedding…the bride and groom just couldn’t wait for the honeymoon! It was a warm night and I had the top down on my own car as I followed the couple over the Ferry St Bridge, shooting as I drove.

Most ring bearers, when they’re this age, are given ceremonial rings to carry; the real ones are normally in the best man’s pocket. This little guy, however, was given the actual rings and he made sure they were tied securely to the ring-bearing pillow:)
