Dagmara and Hans were married this past September at Northern Lights Christmas Tree Farm which, despite the wintry name, is an awesome wedding venue all year ’round! River frontage, a sprawling farmhouse and some old rustic barns give Northern Lights a nice ‘country’ feel only a few minutes from Eugene. Check them out! Here are a few images from that day.
Boots ‘n’ Flowers

At this wedding I shot yesterday, the bride and all her bridesmaids wore boots during the ceremony. When I saw this old red barn on the property, and the rustic-looking flower arrangements of the girls’ bouquets, I knew I had to tie all those together. The couple, Kaley and Derek, are country folk and I wanted their photos to reflect that. I shot this with my 70-200mm f2.8 lens, wide open. I chose this lens because I like how it compresses distances and the bokeh at f2.8 is superb.
