This Coburg Country Inn wedding took place on a Friday and the bride’s mother spent the morning on the phone with the florist. Apparently, the florist (whose name shall go unmentioned!) assumed the wedding was on a Saturday; she didn’t have the flowers ready at all. Jessamyn, the bride, was unperturbed and asked her Maid of Honor to run down to the nearest store and buy as many floral arrangements as she could. This bridal bouquet did the trick quite nicely!

At this wedding I shot yesterday, the bride and all her bridesmaids wore boots during the ceremony. When I saw this old red barn on the property, and the rustic-looking flower arrangements of the girls’ bouquets, I knew I had to tie all those together. The couple, Kaley and Derek, are country folk and I wanted their photos to reflect that. I shot this with my 70-200mm f2.8 lens, wide open. I chose this lens because I like how it compresses distances and the bokeh at f2.8 is superb.
