Husband and Wife

When a couple decides to get married, they are making the choice to share everything in their lives. Apparently, that even includes cigars! This wedding took place in Portland, up on Rocky Butte.

Floating on Air

Vinnie had a few stout groomsmen who were more than capable of picking up the bride and groom and parading them around the dance floor.

Happy New Year!

A new year and a new beginning; what a fitting time to get married:)

This Los Angeles couple were married at the groom’s grandmother’s property. The hammock in the trees was the perfect place to wind up the evening.

A Freestylin’ Frolic In The Fescue

Vinnie and Valerie were married at Vinnie’s grandparents’ place along the Umpqua River near Scottsburg, Oregon. I really liked the tall grass and blooming yarrow in this field, as well as the rustic fence that surrounded it.

We spent about 15 minutes in this field and this was their favorite image. I asked them to see who could run to me the fastest and Vinnie, ever the gentleman, made sure his bride went first:)

For His Eyes Only

Putting on the garter is a process that can involve a lot of people (bridesmaids, mother-of-the-bride, etc) or it can be a very personal event. This bride wanted to do it herself and she only asked me to photograph it so her husband-to-be could enjoy the memory later on. This was from a wedding I shot in Portland.

“I Got This”

This groom needed no instruction on how to sweep his new bride off her feet, but his groomsmen were ready to step in at a moment’s notice, just in case:)

This is an image from a wedding I shot at Beckenridge Vineyards, in Dallas, Oregon.

The Gerding Theatre, Portland

The Gerding Theatre is located inside the Armory Building in NW Portland and it’s a really cool place to get married! This couple chose to have their ceremony on the 2nd floor, which allowed me to get this aerial shot from the 3rd floor. They rented the entire building and their guests loved it; lots of unique spaces to visit and socialize.
