Every parent wants to see their children happily married and so it was with this wedding. Emily and Luke are a perfect match and Emily’s mom couldn’t be happier. This wedding ceremony took place on the University of Oregon campus, in the quad area between PLC and the Knight Library.

The best way to preserve all your wedding images is with a high quality album, printed on thick archival paper that’s resistant to fading. I encourage all my newlyweds to purchase their albums when they make their initial booking with me; it’s always nice to get back all those wonderful memories in a beautiful, professionally bound wedding album. My biggest selling wedding album is 10″x10″ and has around 35 pages. This is just the right size to allow some images to be printed full spread (such as bridal portraits) and others to share space on the same page (such as cake cutting and dancing). In addition to the full-size album I also offer MiniBooks (also called brag books, parent albums, companion albums, etc). These are identical in content and layout to the main album and make the perfect gift.

At this Eagle Rock Lodge wedding, along the beautiful McKenzie River, the family portraits were suddenly interrupted with the raucous sound of cheering and splashing. A raft full of white water enthusiasts had seen the bride and wanted to shout out their congratulations. I was metering for the scene, getting my lights set up, and was glad I had my finger on the shutter release button.

While these images aren’t exactly wedding related, they do show what a perfect union can achieve. These were all taken at Autzen Stadium today, in optimal football weather. Former Ducks starting point guard, Jonathan Lloyd, has made the jump over to the gridiron and he got rocked on his first attempt at returning a punt. After the play was over the stadium announcer said “Welcome to football, Jonathan Lloyd.” Only in a scrimmage game would one expect to hear the announcer directly addressing a player on the field, during the game. The Ducks’ first-team offense looked great, as expected, and the crowd of 25k people cheered them on.

I was contracted to shoot a wedding in Arkansas at a place called The Barn at Twin Oaks Ranch. The weather was perfect, as was the happy couple’s getaway car.

Shooting bridal and wedding party portraits is a large part of what I do (since those are the most-ordered prints), but I never stop shooting during a wedding day. This ceremony, at King Estate’s Pavilion, was great fun.

The Country Inn, located on Coburg Road just north of Eugene, is a fantastic place to get married. They have two separate locations on the property but this area is open to anyone. As I was staging Kris and Kevin by the willow tree the sunset suddenly came on strong and I was very happy I’d chosen this spot at this time!

Julie and Nate wanted some ‘alone time’ after their ceremony at this King Estate wedding I shot awhile ago. I’m glad they invited me along; the light was perfect and the newlyweds were very at ease with one another.

During an engagement session I always incorporate the ring into a few shots. In this e-session, featuring Trisha and Jordan, they both had their rings on so this shot was a no-brainer! This image was made on the bridge at the Clark Creek Campground, near Lowell.

Trisha and Jordan are getting married later this year at the Clark Creek campground, 12 miles west of Lowell. It’s been a few years since I’ve been up that way so it was a real treat to see it again, especially on such a beautiful spring day in late March! This image was taken around 4 in the afternoon today.
